I Am ... ... You Are, Holy People in an Un-Holy World

22nd April - 15th July 2018

Ages 3-11 years - Christ Church Orpington

Summer Term 2018

Sunday Teaching

Series Aims

This term’s teaching is in two parts, the first comes from the Gospel of John exploring who Jesus is and what that means to those who choose to follow and obey Him. Jesus is the good shepherd and he knows His sheep. Just as Jesus loves so we are called to love, just as Jesus is the truth we are called to share this truth. We do not do this alone but with strength from the Holy Spirit.  The theme throughout is truth, belief and belonging and this leads to the second part of this series which is Paul’s letters exploring what it means to be a Holy people in an unholy world.

Dates for your Diary

Sunday Serving!

Sunday ServingOnce a month when there isn’t an All Age Service, our Explorers, and Pathfinders will join with our adult congregation and serve alongside them. Climbers will run as normal. There are many opportunities for our young people to serve and use their gifts and talents as part of our church family. Please contact Jo Gavin for further information.

TEAMBUILDERS

We are planning to run our annual Holiday Club TEAMBUILDERS with our Opening Service on 22nd July and
the Holiday Club running 25th - 27th July. The children will encounter stories from both the Old and New Testaments that
illustrate what it means to work together. These stories help the children focus on the value of teamwork in life and, in particular,
as a community of people journeying with Jesus. In addition, the children will meet Jesus and discover what he did for them
and how they can become part of Jesus’ team.

Don’t forget to put the date in your diary and if you can help please let me know – it would be fantastic if you could join our team! We are in need of Table Leaders working with 7 - 8 children and assisted by a young person, it’s great fun and you have the opportunity to walk alongside the children as they discover more about Jesus!
