baby chukwubuikem and other news

Dear Friends,

There is quite a bit of news to pass on so please forgive the long email.

Baby Chukwubuikem

Dear Christ Church family,

We received with joy and gratitude the lovely gifts you sent to our son Chukwubuikem.

Thank you all for your constant love, prayers and support to me and my family.

Nnenna and the baby are now home. She is happy to take phone call or visits from
the church family.

Every Blessing

And here are some pictures taken yesterday:

The Kingdom Come

Jesus Christ calls every person to follow him. As Christians it’s our duty and joy to share that invitation. That’s why the Archbishops of Canterbury and York are inviting every church in England to join a week of prayer this Pentecost, from 8th - 15th May — let’s pray for every Christian to receive new confidence and joy in sharing this life-transforming faith.  To find out more now, I would encourage you to go to the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ website using the following link:

Jay will be writing to us all nearer the time with ways we can join in with this initiative.

Our APCM is on Sunday 17th April, proceeded by a ‘Bring and Share’ lunch.  Please do sign up at the back of church telling us how many will be in your party and whether you will be bringing a savoury or sweet dish.  Alternatively, do reply to this email giving this information.

Diocesan Quiet Day

The Fellowship of Diocesan Pray-ers invite you to a Quiet Day on Saturday 23rd April, 9.30pm for 10am to 3pm here at Christ Church.  It is to be led by Canon Gordon Oliver on the theme ‘Desert Gateways’. Tea & coffee provided but bring your own lunch.  Open to all.  Contact Lorna Kahan (01322 271657) or Andy in the church office ( if you would like to attend.

and finally,
