services in november

Dear church family,

We have an exciting month of services during November!

The month has begun with celebrating the 40th anniversary of Gordon Holt's reader ministry.

This coming Sunday, we have the solemnity of our morning Remembrance Sunday. This is coupled with the celebration and sorrow of seeing Rev'd Dozie, Nnenna and family leave us to move to St. John's Ravenhead in the Liverpool Diocese. I hope that you can be there to pray for them and wish them well.

In the afternoon that day, we have our 'Service of Remembrance' for those whom we love but see no longer. This is at 3pm, and if you would be comforted by such a service, then please do join us.

On the 20th, we have a special opportunity to celebrate "Christ, who is our Light and King!" We are praying for a sacrificial offering on this Sunday to support the finances of the church in installing a new lighting and electrics system. The PCC and I believe that this will genuinely enhance the worship and experience of all who come into the church building. It is one area of our church that has been in long-standing need of an upgrade. Please prayerfully consider how you can generously give towards "Lighting the Future".

Finally, on the 27th November, we welcome Bishop James to Christ Church to confirm 18 people from Christ Church and a number from St. Barnabas Cray and St. George's Gravesend. This is a joyful way to conclude a busy month of ministry! Please pray that each service might be honouring to God and encouraging to people!

And for those looking for a social occasion, please below for details of a Fashion Show on Saturday 26th November.
